Coalator = Separator + Coalescer

In a Coalator, the mechanical separation takes place just before the air/gas stream flows through the coalescing media. The coalescing element is open to the separation chamber, allowing condensate to fall, thus preventing re-entrainment. The separation chamber also doubles as a condensate accumulator.

Benefits:

  1. Higher overall efficiency. Coalescer's exposure to condensed fluids is virtually eliminated.
  2. Large condensate holding chamber provides extra protection to coalescer.
  3. Easier installation -additional separator and drain are not required.
  4. Lowest overall cost -saves on equipment and installation costs.
