99% Oil-Free Air - Guaranteed

A coalescer filter removes oil in liquid and aerosol form. Hydrocarbon vapors in gaseous form go through it as easily as air or gas. As shown in Table 5, the installation of a coalescer just after the moisture separator, the coldest point, dramatically improves the overall efficiency of a coalescer filter.

The air to air heat exchanger (standard in R30A/W [ADR15A/W] and larger) after the coalescer increases air volume by 10-20%, lowers relative humidity of outgoing air and prevents condensation of air lines downstream of the air compressor.

Mr. Goodaire Plus - 100% oil-free air

A coalescer is designed to remove oil aerosols, not oil vapors. To remove oil vapors, a large carbon adsorber is needed. To provide the finest industrial and instrument quality oil-free air, PIONEER installs a combination unit that includes a carbon adsorber, particulate filter, and Oil-Alert. The Oil-Alert filters and monitors air quality.

Caution OSHA Regulation
A carbon filter is not a substitute for a PIONEER Carbon Adsorber because the carbon depth in a carbon filter is only 1/8 "/3MM whereas the carbon depth in a PIONEER Carbon Adsorber is at least 6 "/150MM.   OSHA standard 1910.1000 limits oil in compressed air exhaust to 4.32 ppm. Mr. Goodaire and Mr. Goodaire Plus help you meet this OSHA regulation. For details consult your nearest OSHA office.

  7. Carbon Adsorber - A coalescer filter primarily removes oil in liquid and aerosol form. The carbon adsorber removes the remaining oil vapors.
  8. Particulate Filter - Prevents carbon carryover.
  9. Oil-Alert - Monitors the quality of outgoing air and provides additional protection. The element gradually changes color, white to bright red, indicating that the coalescer and particle filter elements as well as the carbon in the carbon adsorber need changed. 

Mr. Goodaire Economy

Available as a cost-saving option, Mr. Goodaire Economy is identical to Mr. Goodaire without the three-valve bypass. Mr. Goodaire Plus Economy is the same as Mr. Goodaire Plus without the three-valve bypass.
